Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, by Robert M. Pirsig
Here is a book that is, of course, a Classic; one that just about everyone has heard of – but one that I realized I had never read. I have heard or read references about it many times – and so when it came up in some conversation or other I remembered that I wanted to read it. And of course, my sister owns a copy.
So this is what I am now reading. A look back to the 1970s. And it is different. (And well, the 1970s were very different – I know, I was there!) But yet the philosophy contained within its pages is still very relevant today – if not more so.
I doubt that I will be reading this as quickly as the last couple of novels I’ve read – some of it is a bit hard to sift through. But so far it is a good read – the author is noticeably a very good writer – and I am sure I will come away with some good tidbits for living to add to my repertoire.
